Edens Duphresne serves as a Small Business Specialist for the DOT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s Procurement Assistance Division.
Prior to joining DOT, Mr Duphresne served as a Claims Specialist at the Social Security Administration. In that capacity, he assisted the public in filing for their retirement benefits, disability benefits, and much more. Before joining the Social Security Administration, Mr. Duphresne served in the Peace Corps in Senegal. During that time, he worked on various projects, creating a small business with twenty-five women that transformed desert dates into consumable oil on par with olive oil. He worked in liaison with USAID, and the local Chamber of Commerce coordinating several business fairs. Mr. Duphresne also has established a recycling company in Haiti and served as the In-Country coordinator for that organization.
Mr. Duphresne earned two Bachelor’s degrees in International Business, and Business Management at the University of Delaware.
