Lisa Leone currently serves as a Program Analyst in the Regional Assistance Division (RAD) in the Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), US Department of Transportation. RAD is responsible for overseeing the Department’s 12 grant-funded Small Business Transportation Resource Centers (SBTRCs) located nationwide, where small businesses receive counseling, technical assistance, and financial assistance.
Lisa brings a diversified work/life experience to the position. Prior to joining OSDBU, she served in the US Air Force as an Aerovac and Hyperbaric Medic, eventually becoming a Master Instructor. Lisa feels fortunate to have lived and visited many countries, most especially, living in her ancestral home of Italy for 4 years, where she was a DoDEA substitute teacher and high school track coach. Upon moving to Virginia, Lisa continued with her passion for learning and sharing knowledge by working as a Graduate Coordinator at George Mason University, an Interpretive Park Ranger with the National Park Service, the US Capitol, and Prince William County Historic Preservation Division.
Lisa holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and a BA in History from George Mason University.
